Son of the Country
The year is 1589. In a world where magic and the supernatural are part of everyday life, Martín de Salas, a survivor of the Spanish Armada, is stranded on the West coast of Ireland on the brink of war. Taking refuge with an Irish judge and his sister, he must avoid capture by the English and catch a murderer, while dealing with Irish politics and the dangerous, unpredictable Sidhe – the Irish fairy folk – as he tries to find his way home.
